Writing
As an English major, I love to write. I have included a few samples of my writing, ranging from class essays to a few reflective journal writings.
Journal
A journal that reflects upon several different texts. Included are: Their Eyes Were Watching God, The Hours, Mrs. Dalloway, The Awakening, Woman Warrior, and Song of Solomon
Prince Hal/Henry V
For a Shakespeare class I was asked to examine Prince Hal's growth and come up with my own opinion about his character. In this essay I reflect Hal as a master politician in the making and the qualities he exhibited that made me conclude so.
Post-Modern American Drama
As a final for one of my many theatre courses we were asked to create our own final. The final was to be a reflection of everything we had studied throughout the year, beginning with theatre from the early 20th century and moving into modern theatre. The test is written in essay format with a few charts and extra credit opportunities included. This test is intended for a theatre course and students who are serious about the study of theatre.
Politics and the English Language
A short essay on Orson Welles' essay that examines a few key passages in detail.
